No, we didn't die and go to heaven. Unless "heaven" is Lucky Magazine's Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference, held in Manhattan's Apella Center right on the Hudson River, on Wednesday, September 7th. We were so honored to sponsor such a great event, featuring keynote speakers Diane von Furstenberg, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, Rachel Roy, Coco Rocha, and more, all moderated by Lucky's super talented editors.
Because we know many of you dabble in the blogosphere--or at the very least tweet up a storm with us--here are a few things we picked up at last week's Lucky FABB conference.
On giving yourself a voice:
"They didn't care what I had to say so I made them care." - supermodel @CocoRocha
On balancing work and personal life:
"All the men in our lives fell in love with us because we're workaholics" - @KimKardashian
On the critics:
"You learn most from your criticism. People who say 'I love you,' that's great, but I don't learn from you." - @DVF
We're telling you--these ladies and all the other noteworthy panelists know what they're talking about. We loved hearing them wax poetic about female empowerment, entrepreneurship, and just plain what inspires them. But hands down, the best part of the whole event was gabbing with some of the best bloggers in the game--Kelly Framel from The Glamourai, Leandre Medine, also known as the Man Repeller, Tunisia Awasthi, from Girl with Curves, and Christina Caradona, from Troprouge to name a few.
Here's our editorial team getting silly in an on-site photo booth:
It was the perfect kickoff to a week full of fashionable fun. We'll see you at Lincoln Center, bloggers, and we know you'll be looking FABBulous.
