Now that you're all caught up, lets get straight to the sales—shall we?
This time around, we have Pure Fix by Tricia (amazing "upcycled" pieces), Shades of Grey (everyday pieces with fashion-forward appeal) and Les Lunes (velvety soft lingerie). And to give you even more background on these up-and-coming designers, we reached out to each of them for an exclusive Q & A. First up: Pure Fix by Tricia.
How did you get your start as a fashion designer?
I first started by turning my friends oversized Florida State University (my college) into one-of-a-kind laced-up corsets and sexy off-the-shoulder tops—and it just snowballed from there!
How would you describe your latest collection and the inspiration behind it?
Since we are an upcycled collection, we work with fabric that already exists. We then took those different textured fabrics and dyed them in colors that worked for the collection. It has a strong Aztec influence, so we kept the colors bright and cheerful.
What style characteristics would you say most define your pieces?
There is a wide range of looks that can be incorporated with our pieces. I leave that to the person wearing them, because it’s all about personal style!
If you could describe your line in one word, what would it be?
Let's take a trip down memory lane. What was the first thing you ever professionally designed? How did it turn out?
I designed repurposed bustiers made from vintage wedding dresses, t-shirts, army jackets, and ruffled tuxedo jackets for the Patricia Field boutique in NYC. They were wild!
Name five items that every woman's closet should contain.
