Want to save your boots from an early demise? Then just consider these tips so you can ensure they stay looking their very best:
- After each wear, wipe dust and dirt from the surface of your riding boots with a slightly damp sponge or lint-free cloth. Dust and dirt can absorb moisture from the leather, rotting the stitching and causing abrasions and cracking.
- To restore boots to their original shine, dip a soft rag in designated boot polish and slather it on to the boot. Buff with a polishing brush. Then, wipe the shoe with another clean rag until it sparkles.
- If your boots are damp from a rainy or snowy day, make sure not to place them near a radiator, fireplace, or space heater to dry. Extreme temps are detrimental to leather.
