But back to food (also known as the most important part of an Independence Day bash – or any party, for that matter). While most backyard barbeques have burgers in abundance, we know sometimes it’s hard to find a healthy alternative. Luckily, Gina Homolka completely gets us. Her blog, Skinnytaste, inspired us to try out a healthier, but equally mouthwatering, dish for the barbeque this year. Specifically, Grilled Cilantro Lime Shrimp Kabobs.
This dish appeals to us for so many reasons – but mainly because it’s insanely easy to make. Simply season, skewer, grill & serve! Plus, just saying the name makes us hungry. Served as an app or alongside a fresh Fiesta Bean Salad (thank you, Gina.), this is the perfect addition to your Fourth of July fiesta.
